Another extraordinary ‘last minute’ booking and another phenomenal Slovenian with the New York address: Jure Pukl!
Jure comes to us as part of a European tour with the ‘Doubtless’ project.
In 2015, Pukl received the most prestigious Slovenian Award for Contribution to the Art of the ‘Prešernovega Harmony Award’, behind which he has seven soloists and over forty collaborations.
Jure Pukl collaborated and performed on the most prominent artists of the world with the following artists: Esperanza Spalding, Maceo Parker, Branford Marsalis, Dave Liebman, Vijay Iyer, Jeff Tain Watts, Joe Sanders, Aaron Goldberg, Marcus Gilmore, Johnatan Blake, Boško Petrović, Matija Dedić and many others.
The quartet is played by American trumpeter Philip Dizack, the youngest winner of numerous jazz competitions, the John Coltrane scholarship winner and everything that goes with it. The contrabass Robert Jukić is on bass, while the Austrian premium musician Klemens Marktl drummer is a classical piano educator.

Here’s what the Guardian says about Puklu:
“Pukl combines the skill, soul, and appetite for adventure that has fueled jazz evolution from the beginning, and he’s a rising star of a creative new generation that is energetically driving the music into its second century.”
