One of the most important records of the journey through Siberia was given by Chekhov, who traveled to the Far East of Russia in late April 1890. On the way to the island of Sakhalin, he passed thousands of kilometers by horse-drawn carriages, a train, a steamboat along Volga and Kami, Baykal and Amur, along the route of the future Tramssibir railway. The newspaper “Novo Vreme” printed its travel documents from Siberia, and in 1893 Chekhov published a travelogue book “Path to Sahalin”.
Whether our evening lecturer, Zoran Simic inspired the Chekhov, we will see. But, and if it is not, we have no doubt that much of this interesting and unusual cost in those 24000 km in 25 days! That is why on Wednesday, December 27, at 20:00, you will be obliged to separate for this projection, which will take place in our club hall in Ustanicka 125 c (Konjarnik, at the hotel “Srbija”). Welcome! 🙂
