15 Joyas de España 04 – 18.12. Instituto Cervantes

Take this winter with us on a journey through the most beautiful parts of Spain! Pack your bags, but on the 4th of December we start touring cities on the list of world cultural heritage!

The exhibition “Spanish Cities on the World Heritage List, 15 Pearls of Spain”, features over fifteen photographs of the most important buildings, places and lesser-known corners of fifteen Spanish cities listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List: Alkala de Enares, Avila, Baes, Casseres, Cordoba, Cuenca, Ibiza, Merida, Salamanca, San Cristobal de la Laguna, Santiago de Compostela, Segovia, Tarragona, Toledo and Ubeda.

These fifteen cities of curious travelers, as well as visitors to the exhibition, discover all their beauty and uniqueness: history, architecture, geography and customs. Travel from one place to another, from one to the other pearl of Spain, moves on the trail of the story of an invaluable cultural heritage that has become a world heritage of invaluable value. Part of this success belongs to ancient monuments, but for a non-negligible part, there is also a unique lifestyle in which Spanish and Spanish culture are widely known.

An exhibition that reflects the beauty and significance of these Spanish pearls is intended for lovers of traveling who enjoy discovering new destinations, especially those less familiar but not less interesting, as well as those in tourism who want to expand their offer with exciting travels inspired by art and history. In addition, Spanish examples can serve both the local community and employees of cultural institutions working diligently to preserve cultural heritage.

The setting was organized by the Group of Cities on the World Cultural Heritage List, in cooperation with the Spanish Tourism Institute of Turespan, with the aim of promoting the tourist offer of these cities, as well as with the network of centers of the Servantes Institute in order to present the Spanish cultural heritage abroad.

The exhibition is open until February 6, 2018. The entrance is free.

Entrada gratuita.
