The cult Belgrade rock group Električni Orgazam on 26 January 2018 will be coming to Zagreb as part of the program Sviraj Stare. His performance at Vintage Industrial Bar will be based on the first half of his long career, with the accent on the albums of Electric Orgasm (1981), Leaves Covering Lisbon (1982), How To Drummonds (1984), Distorzija (1986) and Letim , Dišem (1988).

Since its founding in 1980, when the scene was dominated by punk and new wave, the Electric Orgasm became a band with an attitude that openly rejected the authorities and created their artistic expression, thus becoming one of the main runners of the ex-yu’s new wave. The Mythical Compilation Package Package (1980), featuring three songs (“Crocodiles Coming”, “Golden Parrot”, “You”) for the first time presented to the public at the same time the equally important alternative bands of Sharko Akrobata and Idols, not only the Electric orgasm has opened up the chance to record an excellent debut album, but has achieved unexpected effect as one of the best and most significant new wave albums. They also protested from outside the region where Kris Bohn, a reporter for the legendary British magazine NME, has already declared it one of the most exciting non-Beltic ensembles.

The hits of “Debela djevojka”, “I’m as hard as a horse”, “I do not exist”, “Vudu bluz”, “Kapitan Esid”, “Ša la la” from the album Distorzija (1986) launched them at the very top of the scene. This position has been cemented by the forthcoming album Letim, dream, breathe (1988), featuring the successful “Rock’n’roll of Yugoslavia”, “You”, “Kiss Me and Recognize Me”, “You Are All of Our Girls” .

In January 2018, this ‘band for every rock encyclopedia’ will celebrate the amazing 38 years of brilliant career, and on that occasion, to give the audience a chance to add an extra set of surprises.

Play Stare’s music program by K.L.U.B. Delivering the Voice, at the same time organizer of the biggest Slavonian music festival Ferragosto JAM.
