The exhibition Mio blu presents a series of prints and an artwork by Ivana Vidić, through which the artist explores the range of meanings of blue. The French word for blue is azure, as well as the Romanian azure and azurian, the Italian azurra, the Polish lazur, the Spanish and the Portuguese azul, the etymological origin of the name lapis lazuli. Lapis is the Latin word for stone, and the lazuli comes from Arabic, meaning heaven, sky, and so blue …
Ivana Vidic graduated in 1995 at the graphic department of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. She earned a master’s degree in 1997 at the same faculty. Since 1992, she has exhibited at over 250 group exhibitions in the country and abroad. He is a member of ULUS since 1996.
