Timber Rattle is a psychedelic pastoral duo from Itaka, New York.

Adam, the band’s guitarist, describes their music as follows:

“The shortest term with which I am most comfortable to describe is” psyche-pastoral “…” psyche, “for obvious reasons: the sounds tend to be spatial and repetitive, and try to create a kind of reflective environment, whether it is external or internal. And most of all, pastoral ‘because I think it relates to a type of loneliness or individual experience with nature – something that we always celebrate with music – versus the terms’ folk’ or ‘american’, which I consider also characterize our music, but which are burdened with many cultural and musical connotations which in principle do not relate to our primary interests. ”
