Wild Lake consists of five boys from the picturesque mountain town of Idrija in Slovenia. They gathered in 2008 with an explicit idea of playing music that combines their favorite styles and genres. In 2009, they recorded a demo album in the quartet formation, and later their saxophonists joined their polyphonic sound, and released their debut album “City Fever” (2015). This year, Slovenians published their second album “Escape From the Blindhouse”, which promoted a series of concerts, mostly in Slovenia and Croatia. Their upcoming hosting in Bulgaria and Serbia, organized by our association. Prior to performing in Nis, Slovenians will also play in Bulgarian clubs in Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv.
Wild Lake music is completely instrumental with an elegant combination of the influence of jazz, a classic progressive rock in the ’70s, fusion and blues, sparkling with the tangle of Balkan sensuality and soul. Among some of their greatest inspirations are the names such as Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Yes, Rush, Billy Cobham, Bill Evans, Dixie Dregs, Chick Corea, as well as representatives of the powerful Slovenian progressive scene from the 1970s and ’80s which is the Suburbs, the Source and the Sun Path.
Divje Jezero will perform in Nis in the following composition:
Alen Bogataj – bass
Aleš Golja – guitar
Luka Čibej – drums
David Križaj – keyboards
Tomi Peljhan – saxophone
