The eclectic music of Fish in Oil is an organic blend of blues, swing, free jazz, chanson, funky, surf and punk, and is partly inspired by the ambiences of John Zorn, Mark Ribois and Tom Wates. A longtime favorite of Belgrade clubs, today they perform at festivals around the country as well as abroad
The FIO Author’s Five, led by Bratislav Radovanovic, is a musically unique phenomenon in this region. This music band is well known to the Belgrade audience, so every performance they have is a great visit.
For those who have not had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of this very inventive band it should be emphasized that it is a fusion of many musical directions. They combine jazz, blues, punk, surf, rock music with rock and roll. It is this incredible blending and walking along the edge of different music genres that makes Fish In Oil music different, drinkable, yet aggressive enough to leave a strong impression after listening.
The audience is known because each of them has an enviable music career: Veljko Nikolich – Papa Nick – percussion, Tom Fedja Franklin – drum, Branislav Radojkovic – double bass, bass guitar, Bratislav Radovanovic – guitar and Dusan Petrovic – saxophone.
