Otherkin 20/11/ Ponedeljak u 21h – 00h u Elektropionir
„Mi želimo da naše ploče budu jake, naletne i goruće. Direktne, bez nežnosti“ – ovim rečima svoj debi album „OK“ najavljuje bučni grandž-pop sastav iz Irske, Otherkin koja će biti objavljena 29. septembra pred evropsku turneju pod etiketom izdavačke kuće Rubyworks i održaće koncert 20. novembra u klubu Firchie Think Tank Studio u Novom Sadu u organizaciji koncertne agencije Rock svirke sa početkom u 21 čas.
Otherkin su bili veoma aktivni leta 2016. godine nastupajući na mnogobrojnim festivalima širom Evrope, promovišući svoj drugi EP ‘The New Vice’. Luk (Luke), Konor (Conor) i Dejvid (David) imali su inicijalnu ideju o bendu početkom 2013. godine, ali Otherkin su zvanično bili okupljeni tek kada im se krajem te godine pridružio i bubnjar Rob, svi zajedno deleći ljubav prema bendovima kao što su The Clash, Queens Of The Stone Age, Ramones i Blur.
Prve svirke po studentskim domovima i kućnim žurkama otvorile su put za koncerte po živahnim klubovima u Dablinu, a zatim su usledili i nastupi na prestižnim festivalima: Longitude, Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes and Other Voices.
Nakon nekoliko samoizdatih pesama, Otherkin su ostvarili veliki korak svojim bučnim grandž-pop singlom “Ay Ay”, koji su odmah primetili ljudi iz vodeće irske nezavisne izdavačke kuće Rubyworks.
‘201’ EP, sa pesmama “Ay Ay” i ”Feel It”, izdat je pred njihov koncertni debi u Engleskoj na Leeds i Reading festivalima. Odmah je usledila i turneja po Engleskoj. Medijsku podršku dobijaju od Annie Mac sa stanice BBC Radio 1, kao i od John Kennedy-a sa radija X, dok su spotovi za dva singla imali konstantnu rotaciju na MTV Rocks.
EP ‘The New Vice’ snimljen je u Dablinu, miksovao ga je Jolyon Thomas (Slaves), i na njemu se nalaze pesme “I Was Born” i “Yeah I Know”. “I Was Born” već ima više od 100.000 slušanja na soundloud platformi i dobija svakodnevnu rotaciju i podršku od Clare Amfo na BBC Radio 1.
Bend je trenutno u studiju gde snimaju svoj debi album koji će biti izdat u toku 2017. godine za izdavačku kuću Rubyworks.
