One of the most attractive concerts in the season of the Symphony Orchestra and the Choir RTS will be held on May 15 in the Sava Center. It will be the evening music of Volfgang Amadeus Mozart, on which will be performed “Concert Symphony” and one of the most famous works from the work of this author – “Requiem”. As a soloist will perform the concertmaster of the Munich Philharmonic, violinist Sreten Krstic, and solo violinist of the Croatian Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra – Hrvoje Filips. In addition to these artists who will listen as soloists in the performance of “Concert Symphony”, in the performance of “Requiem” will be performed already well-known soloists – soprano Aleksandra Jovanović, mezzo soprano Ivana Srbljan, guest from Croatia, tenor Janoš Serekovan, guest from Hungary, and bass Luciano Batinić, who comes from Slovenia. Bojan Suđić will be the master. As a composer, Mozart is considered not only a giant of artistic music. His works have long overcame the limits of genres, and today we recognize him as an important pop culture representative. He lived only 35 years. He went, played and conducted the premiere of his works, almost all the countries of the then Europe. He composed a large number of compositions in almost all kinds of music. Some defined them as achievements of immortal beauty, others gave them the attributes of impassable value, the third in music recognized the divine inspiration, and the profession of the major spoke about the ease of creation. In any case, it is a master of his craft, who, with his opus, placed a high-quality scale on a high level. The “Concert Symphony” was composed in 1779, at a time when Mozart was on a European tour, which included, among others, Mannheim and Paris, cities that were considered to have a strict audience. This unusual piece is, as many chroniclers write, part of a kind of Mozart’s music experiments to write a composition that will include the best features of the symphony and concert. Although he has written several performances of this type, “Concert Symphony”, written for solo violin, violin and symphony orchestra, is today the only one that is completely preserved. But she was also a hit for a sophisticated Parisian audience, who perfectly accepted the work. And not just that. It became one of the most popular compositions in Paris in the 18th century.

Today “Concert Symphony” is one of the most popular Mozart’s works. Richard Wigmore in the magazine Gramofon, one of the world’s best classical music magazines, notes that over 40 editions of this piece more than 20 times were on the list of the best. The work inspired many artists to rearrange it for various camera compositions. And the film audience had the opportunity to listen to it as applied music in many films, among which are particularly distinguished Sofia’s choice of William Styron and Amadeus Miloš Forman. Certainly there is no more famous opus ultimum than Mozart’s “Requiem”. The work gained popularity, partly because of the mystery of the legend about its creation. However, in addition to the imaginative, apocryphal version of the unknown messenger, a curly gray coat, which commits the work to an anonymous person from Mozart, the real circumstances of the “Requiem” are completely trivial and familiar to everyone. But, working continuously, in the absence of time, already sore health, having before going to Prague for the performance of Don Giovanni and the premiere of Tito’s Mercy for the royal crowning of Leopold II, as well as the premiere of the Magic Fruit in Vienna, Mozart he was obsessed with the desire to write this work, which, because of the frequent fog of the fever, instinctively concealing the end, called his death song. On the title of the “Requiem” score, he put it in 1792, hoping to finalize it. But he failed. He died on December 5, 1791. Completely completed the views of Introitus and Kyrie, as well as vocal sections and sequences for sequences: Dies irae, Tuba mirum, Rex tremendae, Recordare and Lacrimosa, with a note of orchestration and sketches of the final section of “Requiem”. The work, according to the order of Mozart’s widow Constance, who secured payment of the order, was completed by his pupil Zismajer.Although the mystery of the work of the laborer was resolved today, the mystique that he carried with him gave him the seal of eternity. Although it is a “Requiem”, this is one of the most popular parts of musical history in general!
