Muzički sastav Hari Mata Hari osnovan je u jesen 1986. godine u Sarajevu, a dve godine kasnije, 1988. godine, grupa počinje da snima za zagrebački Jugoton i sledi serija uspešnih albuma: Ja te volim najviše na svijetu 1988. godine, Volio bih da te ne volim 1989. godina , Strah me da te ne volim iz 1990. godine, čiji je tiraž bio rekordnih 700.000 primeraka.
Poznati su po desetinama ljubavnih balada sa jakim primesama lokalnog zvuka koje su postigle izuzetan komercijalni uspeh i ostale evergrin hitovi. Krunu uspeha predstavljalo je osvajanje trećeg mesta na Pesmi Evrovizije 2006. godine u Atini, sa pesmom Lejla, koju je komponovao Željko Joksimović.
Snimio je duete sa našim najvećim zvezdama- Safetom Isovićem, Harisom Džinovićem, Dinom Merlinom, Ninom Badrić, Tajči, Ivanom Banfić, Hankom Paldum, Halidom Bešlićem, Kemalom Montenom, Draganom Mirković… i pevao sa sarajevskom filharmonijom, te na koncertima sevdaha.
U svojoj karijeri Hari se sve više okreće autorskom radu i svojim pesmama pomaže i karijere drugih zvezda- Nine Badrić, Emine Jahović, Severine, Lepe Brene…
2008. godine nastaje album „Sreća“, kojim Hari ostvaruje dečački san- koncert na stadionu Koševo.
2016. godine izdaje novi album „Ćilim“ koji donosi nekoliko novih hitova „Staromodan tip“ i “Ćilim“a koji su muzički kritičari okarakterisali kao možda i najbolji u dosadašnjoj karijeri.We have great news for all fans of Hari Mata Hari! 🙂

Hari Mata Hari’s music composition was founded in autumn 1986 in Sarajevo and two years later in 1988, the band starts recording for the Zagreb Jugoton and follows a series of successful albums: I love you the most in the world in 1988, I would love to I do not like 1989, I’m afraid I do not like you in 1990, whose circulation was a record 700,000.
They are famous for the dozens of love ballads with strong local sound, which have achieved remarkable commercial success and other evergrin hits. The crown of success was the conquest of the third place at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens with a song by Lejla, composed by Željko Joksimović.
