Within the program “Belgrade Winter” on the plateau in front of the UK “Vuk Karadzic” and the municipality of Zvezdara, the popular Fair of fairy tales was opened in 2018. The manifestation is realized as part of the Belgrade Winter Festival program, from 1 to 30 December daily, and the visitors will have the opportunity to get to know and enjoy in our traditional culture and promotion of national products. The President of the Municipality of Zvezdara, Miloš Ignjatović, welcomed the gathered citizens at the opening of the event and said that he was glad that the event intended for the youngest of the youngest was held at this place in the period before the New Year and announced this holiday. He invited the youngest to visit the programs that will be realized at “Fair of Fairytale” and said that they will be able to have fun, but also to learn a lot, which is important for later. During December, our folk tales will be played, puppet shows, concerts, educational and environmental workshops will be organized, and many actors, singers, animators, jugglers and many others who need to beautify pre-holiday days will participate in programs that bring back to childhood and imagination. After the great success of last year’s New Year’s events “Trg bajki”, which gathered and entertained about 120,000 children and their parents, teachers and educators over the course of a month, Belgrade and Belgrade guests again this year again have the opportunity to enjoy the same place.
“Fairy Tale Square” is the most beautiful introduction to the festive celebration, representing the place of the highest quality New Year’s events: entertainment and socializing, concerts, performances, entertainment programs for children, presentation of old Serbian crafts and handicrafts, and the entrance for all visitors is free.
