Mord is a project by Bas Mooy. Mord is from Rotterdam. Mord is short for Morderstwo. These three sentences describe Rotterdam’s label Mord Records that is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year. Bas Mooy and Stanislav Tolkachev have both been guests of Drugstore and Serbia in various occasions. Bas Mooy was our guest in Drugstore’s old location in January 2014. His set was recorded and can be found on Mixcloud. Stanislav Tolkachev visited us twice, first time in 2013 just a month before Bas, and second time in 2015. Lag, our bolt in the Mord machine, has released three of his EP on this label. Mord has released Sleeparchive, Charlton, Neil Landstrumm, Oscar Mulero, Ontal and many more.

Bas Mooy has dived into the electronic music scene in 1999. He joined Radial to launch their record label Audio Assault in 2002. Besides Mord, Bas Mooy has released his music on labels like Perc Trax, Gynoid, Audio Assault’s daughter label – Arms, Mote-Evolver, Planet Rhythm and many more.

Stanislav Tolkachev is a techno pioneer from Ukraine. His productions are influenced both by the classic sound of Detroit and the sleek minimalistic tendencies born in Berlin. He is focused on experimentation with textures and psychedelic sounds, taking inspiration from many diverse sources.

Lag is the respected member of the local underground scene with releases on Mord, THEM and Singularity Recordings. Last year he released the “All The Childern Are Insane” EP on Mord.
