We invite you to evict the guest living exhibition “Living Cavandoles” within the program “Spoilers” at the Ciglane Gallery. The exhibition presents the works of 100 artists as a homage to Oswald Kavandoli and his La Linea.
An animated series by Italian designer Osvaldo Cavandolli, “La Linea” (“Line”), marked the childhood of many generations. The main character is a man who is walking on an infinite line, encountering obstacles, in constant communication with his artist. Kavandoli created the “Comedy Line” in 1969, for advertising purposes, for the Italian manufacturer of home appliances. However, La Linea soon moves to small screens and is becoming popular around the world, walking through over 250 episodes.
“La Linea” is inseparable from its author, Osvaldo Cavandolli, an animator and strip artist who marked the Italian history of industrial design and graphics, mass communications, and Italian collective consciousness.
In his honor, the MUSIL Foundation of the Museum of Industry and Work from the City of Brescia, together with the KomunikArt Association, the Italian Institute for Culture in Belgrade and Ciglana, organized an international comics exhibition featuring 100 artists from all over the world.
At the same time, we present a new look of the wooden construction gallery obtained by the embassies of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. During the opening, you will attend the performance of Viktor Kiša, and from 22h and the Ab Re group concert.
