The plates are made by Momcilo Rajin and Zikica Simic . Moderator: Dragan Ambrozić. We present some of the most important pages of rock’n’roll history! This time, we will draw your attention to the two key engagement rock albums, for which time has shown how historic they have been crucial when it comes to combining political activism and popular culture! When in his native Detroit in 1968, the legendary MC 5 recorded a debut under the name “Kick Out The Jams”, it was apparently just another spectacular hard rock album that came from that city. But as this year of turbulent ghosts came to an end, it became clear that they were the best way of documenting the moment in which they worked. It turns out that this record – live-recorded – actually best transmitted through time the essence of the rebellious messages of its era, affecting everything that came from, from punk to hip hop. To make things interesting, nothing in it sounds out of date either 50 years later! When The Clash published the London Calling album in 1980, it was for them a moment of growing up and a new ripeness that brought them a definite global affirmation. For the rest of the world, this fascinating mixture of genres, from rockabilly, through ska and reggae to punk, spoke to many music languages about the same thing – life in a society full of injustice and inability for people. The social consciousness that The Clash brought with herself was never a parochial type, but acted as a life-described, lived reality. The album is now considered part of the mythology of rock’n’roll, and one of the most famous double editions in his history.
