Đurić is for the first time presented to the audience of KC Grad with his unique concept of painting tapestries. She graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts, where she completed her postgraduate studies. She has been active since 1995 and has counted dozens of group and solo exhibitions, and she also organized the 16th Biennial of ULUPUDS tapestry in 2006. She was awarded several times for her work, and her series of drawings What Happen with My Ass is part of the Pastwowe Daliborka Museum in Majdank in Lubin, Poland.
Đurić experimenting with various textile techniques, treating them in a painting way, transposing these traditional techniques into the domain of contemporary expression and engaging, critical themes, creates unique series of paintings and tapestries, which the audience will be able to see at this setting.
The two parts of the exhibition, by various techniques, from combinations of manual and machine links to quilting, treat various social themes creating the world of caricatures. The parody effect itself is achieved both on topics and by combining the techniques of links on the canvas. Đurić explores the virtual world of children, the basics of interpersonal communication and the longing for the world of new technologies, performing their series with old technologies, or techniques.
The exhibition is open until December 30th.
