“The unspoiled herbarium of Marija Zdravkovic’s materializes the admiration of the organic, the magic of nature to which we belong, expressing the engaged approach of the artist in which the artistic, guided by personal experience, goes a step further than reproduction – towards the newly established reality. This new-born reality of nature on canvas is not disturbed by changes in light or movement; the author does not follow the days of the day or the play of light and shadow, but the transformation of colors and textures of natural forms in the process of birth, growth and death. Flower gardens, invisible flowering and life cycles of nature underline the dimension of existence independent of people and modern everyday life, the one that runs past a man, not watching the viewers. The performances are hence tightly closed to themselves – the observer looks at them and feels them, but there is no access inside them. It clearly recognizes this closeness as a view of the inner, in a single reality, hidden and protected from the outside. The mundane contemplation of nature in the paintings of Marija Zdravković imposes a relaxing feeling of harmony above the civilization noise that we belong to and peace against the movement of modern life. ”
