New Year’s performance “The Belfry of the Virgin of the Church on the New Year’s Eve” will be premiered on December 29 at the Kombank Hall in the period from 4 pm The performance was made according to the novel of great French writer Victor Igo “The Belfry of the Church of the Virgin”, which, because of its quality and value in yourself, gladly read the lecture in elementary school.
The director for this play of the famous title is signed by Igor Damnjanovic, while the roles are entrusted to Ivan Zekic, Danica Jeftić, Nemanja Janičić, Dejan Cicmilović and Igor Damjanović. Music is signed by Novak Ašković, set design by Tanja Žiropađa, costume designer Ljiljana Ružić, and choreographer Nebojša Gromilić.
The work of the pedestal takes place before the New Year’s carnival, in the square, in front of the church, in the city run by Archduke Klod Frolo. Frolo does not believe in Santa Claus, he despises the carnival and decides to ban every gathering on the square.
Esmeralda, a beautiful girl, taking part in the carnival cheerfully playing and singing fiercely to Frolu, and this orders Captain Febus to arrest her. Captain Febus does not see anything bad in that carnival, he skips skillfully to arrest Esmeralda and falls in love with her. Esmeralda once rescues Quazimodo from the arrest, otherwise a bell-ringer in the church, and promises to keep her from Frol.
Quazimodo was left in front of the door of the church as a baby because he was born with deformity, and he was raised in the church by Frolo. Frolo does not allow Quazimode to leave the belfry, fearing that the world is bad, that he will not accept it and that the people will be laughing at him because of his appearance, and he can only watch the world from the bell tower, taking care not to spot anyone.
