The main star of the New Year’s Eve rehearsal, within the sixth edition of the Central Dance Event, to be held in the Hangar at the Port of Belgrade (Žorža Klemansoa 39) will be Brazilian techno superstar Victor Ruiz, one of the most valuable producers of this music.
That evening, the charismatic Lea Dobricic, one of the most popular regional DJ dames and the winner of the prestigious Burn Residency competition, will also join him, as well as Andrew Meller, one of our best producers of electronic music, an author with more than 60 editions in discography.
Victor Ruiz is an authentic artist of recognizable sound, which he says has finally found his seductive side. His productions have a futuristic tone, which at the same time is exciting and dancing, and often compare with artists such as Maceo Plex. He had the first contact with music as a tenth year old who played bass guitar. Then his friend, a techno producer, introduced him into electronic genres, and Victor then began to create melodies that are mixtures of heavi metals, techno and music for films. He graduated in electronic music production in 2008 at Anhembi Morumbi University and turned to the creation of techno with a strong influence of Latin temperament. Popularity was won by remixes of Moby, Robert Miles, Oliver Huntemann, Stephan Bodzin Thomas Schumacher, Hatzler, Olivier Giacomotto, Luzon, and the talent was confirmed by “Interstellar”, “Black Sun”, “I am”, “Clutch”, “Soul Seek, Thunderstorm and Rollercoaster. His releases can be found on labels such as Yoshitoshi Recordings, Sprout Music, Sudbeat Music, Herzblut, Electric Ballroom, Elevate, Senso Sounds and others. Victor is in the top 10 most popular producers of the Beatport charts for 2017, and his tracks won the first places of Beatport and other eminent top charts.
