STEFANOVSKY’S FOOTWEAR CONCERT IN SMEDEREV

The top guitarist whose work during a rich career lasting more than four decades is an example of authenticity, dedication, quality and stylistic refinement in the field of guitar music, Vlatko Stefanovski, will hold a concert at the Culture Center Smederevo on Monday, December 11 at 20:00. Stefanovski will perform compositions from his new album “Mother Tongue” during the concert. It is about the instrumental arrangements that Vlatko Stefanovski designed for acoustic guitar and for recognizable compositions such as “Bistra voda”, a work created in his collaboration with Bodan Arsovsky, followed by “Macedonian Girl” by Jonc Hristovsky, “Sleeping for Radmila M” Goran Bregovic , “Why did you give birth to my mother” by Stevo Teodosievsky, “Pelisterskoro” by Tale Ognenovsky. The concert will also include songs that represent guitar interpretations of a part of traditional Macedonian music on the album and which testify to one of the main features of the development and creative way of the celebrated musician. “Mother Tongue” is an album that brings together the combination of virtuosity and emotion, which is unavoidable when it comes to the concert performances of the author whom we will have the opportunity to hear in Smederevo. Vlatko Stefanovski already as a young guitarist has confirmed himself as a significant authorial phenomenon in the composition “Leb i Sol”, which was recorded in the history of the period on the territory of the former Yugoslavia. He performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra from Leipzig, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra from Ljubljana, the Symphony Orchestra from Sofia and other renowned orchestras.
