Retrospective exhibition of photographs by Ivan Hadži Zdravković Sosa (1952-2013), marking the fifth anniversary of the artist’s death in his hometown. In the National Museum of Pančevo, the exhibition is being visited on a reduced scale.
The verse “Al has my love” Branko Miljkovic symbolizes the great love of Hadzhi Zdravkovic about photography and the themes that he immortalizes. At the same time, he reminds us of his work on the film and the exhibition about the Nish poet.
Interest in photography and moving images in 1971 takes Ivana from Niš to Belgrade, where she only enrolls only the basic studies of the camera at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. Keeping up-to-date with modern technology, he perfected himself and unselfishly transferred his love and knowledge to the younger generation. He worked on educational work until his death, both in vocational schools and at university level.
The exhibited photographs belong to the different stages of Sosa’s creativity. Black and white portraits from the late 1960s, female acts created in the studio and genre scene from student days are interwoven with digital records. The color of the photos of the Holy Mountain and the Holy Land reflects the artist’s personal spirituality. The sense of detail and experience of nature are immortalized in numerous photographs. A striking coloring in line with the form, it’s bouncing on many digital photos.
Overlapping of the acts, which the artist worked during the studies, with digital textures leads to the creation of new works of distinct poetry and art. These are works created in the last years of the artist’s life, works that celebrate the beauty of women, nature and life as a whole. They clearly convey Ivan’s infinite love for photography, and skill and talent to express it to himself.
