Egyptian cuisine is characterized mainly by dishes made from legumes, onions, tomatoes, green vegetables, often seasoned with plenty of garlic and some interesting spices characteristic of Egypt. Piranha is an integral part of almost every meal.
Throughout history, Egypt has been under occupation of Turkey, which can be seen by the food, by the presence of sarmi from grapevine, baklava and also kebab.
In addition to the Turkish, a significant influence on the cuisine of Egypt has been left by England, which is above all seen in the presence of a large number of cheeses.
